Okay, so, like the title says, I need some advice from you guys. i know I already have too many characters to have any business making another, but, for a long time I've been fighting off the urge to do just that. Just in case I eventually fold and do it despite the fact that I know better (which I probably eventually will either on this site or on 1899 New York) could you guys tell me which character you think I should choose.
1st contestant: Ira Norman Kent, age 7 or 8 (I haven't decided yet)
PB: Tobias Svaard
He's runaway and former choir boy at the church who still keeps in touch with his older cousin, Wallace, who lived with the family and goaded him into running away to test the waters for him and sister,Amelia (who is the same age as Wallace) who just plain wanted him gone. I think I would probably put him in Queens.
2nd contestant: Gail Louise McDonough, age 9
PB: Irma Kail
She just moved with her family from Philadelphia so her father could get a (very low profile) job at The World. She, angry at her father for uprooting her, is now seeking male affection elsewhere. Namely, in the male Manhatten newsies, whose lodging house she lives right next to. Clearly, since she is too young for all the boys she pursues, her affections are always rebuffed, but she is very persistant and can't really take a hint so she keeps on trying. Note: she is not a newsie
3rd contestant:Fatima Salomé Pereira, age 5
PB: unknown
She immigrated to America with her parents from Portuguese Timor a year ago but they had both taken ill on the boat ride and they were sent back home. Fatima, however had been separated ito a different line at Ellis Island and she was cleared to stay in America with another Timor couple who were mistaken for her parents. They didn't realize what had happened and left her on her own. She eventually wandered off and, left to fend for herself, has been pickpocketing to survive for the past year.
