"I just live with it. There problems don't bother me. Besides I've had worse." Most people would think that made her heartless, when in truth the other people's problems didn't bother her. She helped solve them in a way. And in a way she did have worse. These people only had to deal with heartbreak, she had to deal with losing parents. So in a way she wasn't heartless, yet was. It was all very confusing to her. "So now that you're back in New York what kind of job are you going to get?"

Abby looked at her thoughtfully. She did want to be a Newsie, but part of her wanted more than that. "Okay, this might sound a bit hypocrritical but do you need any help? With ya cheaters job i mean." She wasn't sure what else to call it. If Snoop didn't need help she'd be a Newsie until she found something else. She hoped she didn't sound like a hypocrite. But then again, she probably did. Ah, well. She'd dealt with it before.

Snoop raised an eyebrow. An assistant? Did she need one? "I don't think I need help. You'd have to be willing to spy and do a bunch of things you wish you never did. Because there's more to being a sneak than snooping around and listening to conversations." In truth she loved the adventure of her job at times, but other than that she never really thought of getting an assistant.

Abby had said she wanted some adventure in her life. Like she needed anymore. "Well, ya let me know okay?" She smiled at Snoop. She really liked her and thought they could be friends. And Abby took care of her friends. She didn't think Snoop would get herself caught but if she ever did Abby wanted to be the first to know. She would either a. fight or b. break her out of the Refuge. She didn't want to do either one, but she would if she had to.

Snoop thought about it, "You'll get half of what I earn. And I expect you to be on time when I need you. Understand?" She was a little weary of having Abby be her assistant, but it couldn't possibly hurt could it? Probably not. Taking a sip of water, she glanced out and watched as her client and his wife argued. Watching, she turned her head quickly when the wife looked through the window to see if she could find the person who ratted her out. Cursing under her breath, she said quietly, "Don't turn your head towards the window, if I get spotted I'm dead meat."

Abby smiled. She liked this. It gave her life meaning. "Thank you. I honestly didn't think you'd take me on. Of course. I'm there for you." She didn't turn towards the window. But she wanted to so bad! Her instincts told her not to but her curiosity said go for it. But seeing the look on Snoop's face her insticts won. Instead she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She looked at Snoop and smiled again. "Half of your earnings is just fine with me."

"eh," Snoop shrugged, "I normally tend to work alone. So you'll probably have to forgive me if I abandon you during a job." Still keeping her face somewhat hidden and taking a sip of water, she listened till the shouting died out and looked back up at Honey. "Rule number one, when a client is arguing with the person you ratted out, either get out or hide. Because if they know who you are they will blackmail you. And half my earnings better work fine because I don't plan on giving a raise." She would be stubborn on that. Just because she had to pay someone didn't mean she was going to give them the bigger half.

"No no. It's fine." Abby assured Snoop quickly. She had kind of figured the part about the arguing people seeing as Snoop was doing a pretty good job of it. She sipped her water slowly, thinking. She might need a second job like Snoop. Hmm... She might become a Newsie. Ya never know. There might be some excitement there. "How many goils is Newsies?" She asked Snoop. Her guess was not many.

"Probably the same amount as boys, maybe less. I don't keep track," Snoop replied. Obviously the girl was going to probably become a newsie. 'Smart move,' she thought, 'maybe having an assistant wont be so bad.' The more she thought about it the more she was reminded of her fictional hero Sherlock Holmes, and how he had an assistant. Maybe she should stop working alone all the time.

"Okay sounds good." She wondered who all was a Newsie and who knew about Snoop. If it was no one, Abby would let it go. Snoop's buisness was none of her concern unless it got her in trouble. Then, Abby might want to know about it. But if Snoop didn't want to tell her she wouldn't push it. She had one of the best opportunities here, or so she thought. Her mother would be ashamed. Abby smiled at this thought. She had always enjoyed making her mother mad at her. She had a thought. "How are you gonna contact meh when you need meh?"

"I have my ways," Snoop said, "Either I'll have someone tell you or I'll deliver a letter and put it somewhere or I'll tell you earlier. Depends." Sneaking around to get messages to Honey would be easy, she knew people who could help her. But it'd probably be easier for her to just tell Honey herself.

"Okay." Abby said. She was relieved. She didn't like to feel left out. Another reason she left home. When her own mother pushed her to the side; she felt like she didn't belong. She didn't want that to happen here. She wanted to let Snoop where she'd be living, but there wasn't such a place. She opened her mouth then shut it quickly, shaking her head. "Another water?" The only reason she could pay for this stuff was because her mother couldn't. Abby remembered with a grin. When she had left, her mother had been out of town and Abby had stolen some money and jewlery. She hadn't wanted the jewlery so she sold it. After that, the memories came back in floods. She blocked them from coming, but didn't stop them all. She felt the tears welling up in her eyes. She threw money on the table. "Could you pay for these? Thanks." She ran out of Tibby's faster than you could say 'Jack Kelly'.

"No thanks," Snoop replied. She wasn't as thirsty as she was before. Grabbing the money that Honey left she gave it to the waiter who gave her the change, and left herself. Not to sneak around and find out where Honey was and what she was doing, but to simply get away from Manhattan. It seemed there was to much drama in Manhattan.
