Levi glared at him. "Alot of things feel right to me. Like screwing your girl, that feels right to me." He said bluntly. "I'm talkin' about... What were the signs that you like them the most out of all those other girls?" He asked desperately. "Give me somethin' Mush, please."

Mush cocked one of his eye brows. He rolled his eyes and sighed. "Ok well usually you get this feelin' in your stomach and ya just like bein' around her." He shrugged. "I don't know what else ta tell ya. You'll just know when ya find her." Figuring Levi was not going to throw up he moved closer to the counter. He rested his arms on it and fell into a relaxed position. He reached up and rubbed his eyes. He hadn't gotten much sleep the night before.

Levi stopped rubbing the counter. Like being around her... Street... Strange feeling in his stomach... Street... He couldn't get her out of his head. Her smile, her blonde hair, her freckles, her laugh... Her forgiveness... He clenched his fists and buried his head in his arms, suddenly dizzy. It wasn't possible. He wouldn't let it be. She wasn't pretty, she wasn't smart. He could have any girl he wanted, except her. She wouldn't love him. He knew he should go for Moira or Niamh, or Hope... But Street? But no matter how many times he closed his eyes, he saw her face. Walking down the street hand in hand... Kissing him... Then darkness, and her with him... He snapped his eyes open and pushed away from the counter. "Uh... God, I'm done with this crap." He said angrily-mostly at himself.

Mush jumped. HE'd been half asleep already. "What crap? What are ya talking bout Levi?" He shook his head to clear it and stood up straight. He stared at Levi, he looked angry. He sounded angry. But at who? He wouldn't look at Mush he just stared at the ground. Mush knew that look he'd seen it on many other people's faces and he felt it on his own occasionally. Levi was angry with himself. Puzzlement clouded Mush's mind. Why was he angry? Levi looked like he would kick anything near him right now so Mush didn't move.

Levi rubbed his foot against the floor. He grumbled something quietly. He glanced at Mush, then said it a little louder. "I like her." He almost whispered. "Alright? I like her!" He slapped his hand off his leg nervously-and angrily.

Mush took a deep breath and controlled himself. Trying not to smile- or laugh, he held his hands up in a surrendering position. "Okay Levi calm down. That's okay. Ya know it's not a sin to like a goil." He slowly put his hands down and walked toward Levi. "Now lower ya voice. Ya gonna make her come out here." He tried unsuccessfully to hide a smirk. He knew Levi would get quiet if he used that against him.

He narrowed his eyes at Mush. "You do know who I'm takin' about right? I ain't talkin' about your rich girl in there..." He took a deep, steadying breath. "I'm talkin' about her." He jerked his thumb over his shoulder at the other room. "Don't make me say it... I can't say it... Not yet." He told him, looking away sadly. "'Cause... she'll turn me down cold."

"Levi i know. I knew in some part of that tiny brain of yous it would happen." Mush told him still smirking. "And it betta not be me rich goil." He laughed. He needed Levi to loosen up and be the old him again. "She ain't gonna toin ya down Levi. I think she's liked ya since she met ya." He punched him playfully on the shoulder. He turned to the back room. "Ya comin'? She might need us. They both will."

Levi glared at him but followed. He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. He nodded to Ophelia-who was now awake and looking at a photo album Mercury had given her. He sat with Scarlett on a little sofa and was telling Ophelia stories as she looked at the book. Levi watched Street softly as she looked over Ophelia's shoulder.
"Is that really me? With the curls?" She asked. Levi walked over and leant over her, looking at the album.
"Well, yeah. See? You still have the freckles." He said, pointing them out in the picture. She looked at him surprised, and he leaned away blushing. "Uh... Any idiot could see that, Street." He said, trying to regain his sarcastic tone. He looked at Mush with panic in his eyes.

Mush went over and sat on Ophelia's other side. He put his arm around her. He heard Levi talking to Street and looked over. Levi looked at him obviously panicking. Mush rolled his eyes. He figured he'd bail Levi out this once. "Yeah Street. Even you knew that." He laughed softly and winked at her. He looked back at the photo album Ophelia was holding. "Beautiful then, and now." He rested his chin on her shoulder.

Levi chuckled uncertainly, fixing her with an unsure grin. She returned completely. She patted the seat next to the bed. "Come on and look at the pictures." She told him. Street pointed out a picture of her and some man.
"Who's that?" He asked. She looked at it.
"I... Don't know." She murmured.
"It's Eliot Lexeme, our father. You were his precious baby." Mercury told her. She looked at him.
"I was?" She asked.
"Well... Duh." Levi murmured. She glanced at him in shock. He smiled at her tentatively. He hoped no one else heard. Ophelia hadn't. He glanced at Mush.

Mush smirked and shook with repressed laughter at Levi's comment. He didn't look at them though. He knew Levi. He had said that quietly enough that no one was to hear, Mush just had awesome hearing. He continued to look at the album and point out people in pictures.

Street pointed to a dog. "What's his name?" She asked.
Mercury laughed. "That was Yuppi. You named him when you were about three. You were always saying that you wanted your name to be Yuppi instead of Rosalind."
"Really?" Levi asked, laughing. She laughed too.
"I can't remember much. Ophelia, do ya remember Yuppi?" Street asked.
Ophelia nodded. She looked at Mush. "He was a bad little dog. Bit me once, he was Rosalind's and no one else's." She laughed cheerfully.

Mush laughed along with the rest of them. "Well Street, you had a big vocabulary back then." HE looked over at her. She looked better than he'd ever seen her. She didn't look like a knife victim in recovery, she looked like Street. This was a good thing. It meant she would get better soon. I guess Levi's acceptance affects her more than it affects him, he thought. He wondered if Levi knew this.

Street laughed. "My vocab-u-lary's stayed the same since then, ain't it? Can hardly pronounce most words comin' out of Ophelia's mouth." She sighed, and brushed hair out her face. Scarlett looked over at her.
"Good gracious girl! You're filthy! That's it! Boy's out, out! Mercury, bring me the tub and a scrub brush. Ophelia, rumage in that trunk over there for some dresses. We'll let Miss Rosalind pick out her favorites to keep-free of charge." Scarlett ordered. Little Eliot jumped and scurried from the room while Levi and Mush were shooed into the store room by Mercury. He then delivered the round metal tub to his wife and she flicked the curtain closed while shutting the door. Mercury settled in an armchair that was for sale and kicked his feet up on a nearby barrel. Levi sat at the counter, watching him wearily.
Noises were heard, particularly splashes and the sounds of clothes being thrown about. Then Ophelia's voice was heard. "Oh! What a lovely dress! Rosalind, it will fit you perfectly. You will be noticed by every boy in this dress."
"Ah-Ophelia... That's alright... Honestly... Ms. Scarlett, that hurts! Please! Ophelia, put it down!" Street cried.
"But... Every girl needs a petticoat and corset..." Ophelia's dejected voice was heard saying.
"Not with her stomach. It'll ripe the stiches out, it will." Scarlett said gruffly. "Girl, put your arms up! Now, Ophelia, pull the ties tight. We don't want that petticoat slipping now. Rosalind, your hair will look lovely up like that."
"Oh! With curls!" Ophelia suggested gleefully. Levi exchanged a worried and alarmed glance with Mush.
He mouthed, 'Torture!' to him and grinned.
