Mush walked back to Levi. He looked down at the smudge. "UH- Boo. That's a stain. It ain't neva comin' off." He picked up the towel and wiped it again. "See? Nothin'." He threw the towel in Levi's face. "Now calm down before Scarlett comes back. Look a distraction." He smirked pointing towards the door as it opened. He walked back to where he was sweeping and continued, keeing an eye on Levi.

Levi shook his head at him. "So? It'll come off eventually. And don't be throwin' stuff at me face." He said bitterly. He fixed a smile on his face and said happily, "Hello, how can I help you?" He asked.
The woman pointed out several things as her children ran through the store. Levi looked at them, telling Mush to watch them. Levi placed her things in a bag. She didn't have money. "Name?" Levi asked.
"O'Donnell." She said, spelling it out for him. Levi checked the list.
"You're good. I'll write you name here so Mercury knows." Levi told her, scribbling it down hastily.
"Oh, isn't Mr. and Mrs. Lexeme in today?" The lady asked. Levi shrugged, rubbing at the stain again impatiently. The lady left.

Mush nodded at Levi, getting his message. He watched the kids as their mother told Levi her name. She walked out. He froze. He turned slowly towards Levi. "What did she say? What did she mean Lexeme? I-." Mush's mouth moved but no words came out. He was dumbfounded. Why would the Lexeme's be here? He wanted to go back to Ophelia and Street and ask them, but just then Scarlett looked around the corner of the parlor. Mush quickly looked down and began sweeping hastily.

Levi shrugged. "How am I supposed to know?" He snapped. Scarlett looked at them.
"Was that Mrs. O'Donnell just now? Ah, yes. She owes from last week but she'd been having a difficult time lately." Scarlett sighed. Eliot scampered out into the store. "Eliot Lexeme, you get in her right now." She pointed in the parlor. The little boy shuffled back into the room. "I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with that boy. He won't help his poor mama." She shook her head and shut the door after her. It was silent in the room. Levi looked at Mush, his mouth open.
"There are more of her?" He asked, dumbfounded, pointing at where Street lay in the next room.

Mush looked at little Eliot. Eliot Lexeme? He looked at Levi. "Yeah there's Street, Ophelia, Tybalt, and Eliot. I think that's it. But Eliot? Nah, it couldn't be. Could it?" He was confused and didn't know what to say. "Ma'am do you know Mr. and Mrs. Lexeme? Eliot's parents?" He asked Scarlett. He wondered if she knew them or if Eliot was just a kid she'd adopted or something. He'd always thought Eliot was her son. He thought it was a coincidence that his name was Eliot too.

Scarlett laughed. "I'm Mrs. Lexeme, married to Mercury, or Mercutio Lexeme. Eliot's my oldest son, named after his late grandfather, Eliot Lexeme. Looks nothing like him." She pointed to a picture on the counter. "See? This is an old photograph, when Mercury's family was still together. Eliot, the father; Asya, the mother; Mercury; his brother Tybalt; his sister Ophelia; and the baby Rosalind. Unfortunately, Rosalind was kidnapped shortly after this picture was taken. Ophelia was sent to a boarding school and Tybalt went to Scotland. Mercury's mother and father died a couple years after Rosalind was kidnapped." She sighed.
Scarlett pointed at a small four-year-old girl with curly hair that was tied up with a ribbon. "That's little Rosalind. See? You can even see her freckles. Such a lovely child." She said. "And Ophelia, a beauty even then. I wonder how she looks now." She pointed out eight-year-old Ophelia with pretty curls and an even prettier white dress. "That's Tybalt. Mercury tells me he was quite the black sheep of the family. And then Mercury. Handsome then and handsome now." She smiled.
Levi tightened his grip on the rag. "It's a lie. 'Rosalind' wasn't kidnapped. She was left in an alley by her parents. She was found by some boys and taken to an orphange where she was abbused. Then she lived on the streets. She still lives on the streets." He whispered dangerously. "You and your husband are liars!" Scarlett's hand flew to her throat.
"Young man..." She started.

"Levi!" Mush dropped the broom and ran at him. He didn't want him to do anything stupid that could make Mercutio fire them, taking away Street's medicine or what ever he'd do. "Let's just explain to her like civil people that aren't crazy." He gave Levi a look. Put on a smile and turned back to Scarlett. "Sorry about that ma'am. Ya see Levi is tellin' the truth though. Rosalind, or well we calls her Street, was abandonded. Ophelia is beautiful as ever. If ya don't believe meh go see for yaself." He pointed to the back room. He looked at Scarlett half expecting her to faint or something. Great, not only is he going to be a husband, now he's gonna be an uncle too.

Levi nodded. "Yeah, Rosalind is Street and she's the girl that we brought in. Ophelia's with her too, the blonde one in the white dress." He told her.
"Mercury... Mercury! Come here, please!" Scarlett called. Mercury came out of the room and she pulled him into the parlor. Levi frowned.
"B****. Come on, let's get Street outta here. She'll stay with one of us tonight. Not here with that phsycopath." Levi told Mush, throwing down his rag. He lead the way into the other room. Street was sitting up and stroking Ophelia's hair. Ophelia was laying on her side next to her, asleep.
Street looked up and put a finger to her lips. "Ssh. She's sleepin'. Guess she was tired out by all the activity." She told them, smiling. Levi's frown grew deeper as he looked at her. If they took her now, she'd get worse. She was getting so much better by being here with Mercury and his wife. They had medicine she needed. Levi sighed.
"Sorry." He said sitting next to her on the chair. "How you doin'?" He asked, brushing a piece of hair back.
"Better." She smiled cheerfully at him, he blinked and realized something. She wasn't pretty... but... He couldn't think of the word. She was... Incandescent, resplendent, glorious... He blinked and looked away.
"I... gotta go." he said in a dazed voice. He stood quickly and stumbled into the next room. Street blinked after him, feeling rejected. She looked at Mush, confused.

Mush shrugged under her curious gaze. "Hey don't look at meh I'm just as confused as ya are." He swallowed and took a deep breath. "Street? Ya know ya're brudda Mercury? He's the shop owner." He stared deeply into her eyes. He looked away. He could hear Scarlett and Merc coming down the hall. He looked behind him. Then at Ophelia and finally Street. "Do ya want meh ta stay?"

Street looked up at Mush. "Brother? Huh... Well, I'll be." She smiled. "Ophelia will be happy when she hears that." She touched her sister's hand gently. "Nah, go find out what's with Levi. His hormones might get him inta trouble... Again. Plus... I don't like the idea of him out the with some girl..." She frowned then it went away, she shrugged. "Ah, well, none of my buisness right?" She asked him happily.

Mush looked at Street curiously. She was so hard to figure out sometimes. He shook his head at her and kissed Ophelia gently on the forehead and stood up. "Ma'am. Mercury." He nodded and tipped his hat at the two walking in as he left. He walked out wondering where Levi could've gotten to. He decided to check Tibby's first. Levi was smart enough to get outta the wind. Mush walked in and sure enough there sat Levi at the bar. Mush sat beside him. "Boo? What's wrong, why'd ya rush outta there?"

Levi sat on the stool behind the store counter, dejectedly rubbing at the smudge again. He looked up briefly when Mush came in. "Still won't go away." He told the other. Then he rested his head in his hand and sighed. "I don't understand it... Of all the girls I've been with... Freckles.... Stalker.... Creeper..." He muttered incoherent words in his confusion. "Stupid stomach... Maybe I have a cold or somethin' and I'm gonna throw up. Explains why my palms are sweaty..." He said, rubbing them on his pants. He shook his head, his shaggy black hair flying around him.

Mush walked over to him. He took the rag and tossed it aside. "Ya okay, Levi? Ya ain't lookin' so hot." He figured the safest place for him to stand would be on the other side of the counter. If Levi did throw up, it'd probably be on the side of his. But, just to be safe Mush took a few steps back. He cocked his head and watched Levi for more signs that he was going to get sick.

Levi grumbled something unintelligable. Then, he realized something. "How did you figure out you liked Brooke and Ophelia? I mean, really like them, not just wantin' to screw them...?" Levi asked, holding his breath slightly.
He tried to look nonchalant by rubbing at the counter, but failed because he kept throwing glances at Mush.

Mush shrugged uncomfortably. "I don't know. I just got this feelin'. It seemed right, somehow." He shrugged again. Why was Levi acting so strange? Did he finally realize he liked Street? In his mind Mush smirked. In real life, he kept a straight face. Levi would probably scream if he could read Mush's mind right now.
