She nodded and ran a hand through her hair before turning and getting out of bed. She looked over her shoulder at him,"Let meh wash up real quick first,"she muttered walking over to the tubroom and over to the sink. She sighed and splashed some water on her face attempting to calm herself down. She grabbed a towel and dried her face before coming back out and looking at him,"ya readeh?"she asked him as she checked her pockets making sure she had everything she needed. She headed toward the door and stopped at the doorway waiting for him.

Chase smiled and stood up. Ace would be okay for now. He was sure of that. He walked over to her and they walked down the stairs together. At the bottom, Chase put a hand on the small of her back and led her outside. The sun was just barely up, but it was bright. Chase raised a hand to sheild his eyes. "What do ya wanta do? We can get yer papes ova there." He pointed off to the right. "Are ya alright ta stand still?"

She leaned against him just abit and wrapped and arm around the back of his waist,"I'll be fine but I like holdin' on to ya,"she said with a wink. She smiled and shrugged slightly,"I dunno, do ya wanna get papes and den maybe head up ta the hardor or somethin'?"she asked him her voice soft. She smiled abit and leaned her head on his shoulder playfully,"yer amazin'"she whispered.

Chase hesitated and kissed Ace's forehead. "Whatevah ya want ta do." He smiled. "We can sell yer papes now, or later. It don't mattah, long as i'm with ya." He squeezed her side with the arm that was around her waist still. He smile grew bigger at her comment. "I wouldn't say amazin'. That's yer job." He teased her.

Ace smiled at his words,"Nah....yer the amazin' one...as fer what we should do I kinda don't feel up ta sellin' taday so if ya wanna sell I'll follow you around, but I'm not up fer sellin' any taday...."she murmured. She felt in her pocket with her free hand and pulled out a red candy stick and put it in her mouth before sighing softly. She was content in being with him, his arm around her, it made her feel special. She tilted her head and looked up into his eyes,"wanna go catch a show at Medda's?"she suggested.

Chase chuckled softly at Ace. "Ya know those things'll rot yer teeth." He smiled at her. "Sure, we can see Medda." He said. He started walking slowely to Irving Hall. He would have normally walked faster, but he liked spending time with Ace without anyone around. He smiled at that thought. He wondered if she thought the same about him. He looked at the sky. He wouldn't call it praying, he'd never prayed a day in his life. More like begging, yeah he thought that's it. He was begging for an answer for his questions.

Ace walked at his side, not letting go of him for a second. She tilted her head slightly at his comment. "Hey dey ain't gonna rot meh teeth if I take care a my teeth well enough,"she told him with a wink of reassurrance. She grinned and thought for a few moments as they walked, she wondered if Poet was around her lodgin' house or if she was stayin' close to Irish these days. "Ya know....I jus' wanna find some place ta spend time alone with you Chase....no one ta bother us..."she muttered as she looked down at her feet and let her hair drape into her face. She knew if Poet wasn't around that she wouldn't be til tomorrow, that's how it worked with her and if she wasn't there, Poet had told her awhile back that her room is open to her and a select few if ever need be. She considered the thought for a moment as she waited for him to speak.

Chase smiled down at her and squeezed her hand. "Ya got anywhere in mind?" He asked. They'd stopped walking towards Medda's. Chase figured she didn't want to go see a show anymore. He thought about places. He didn't really know any of the buildings around here. He'd only lived on the streets then Jackie boy came round and picked him up. Now, he only knew the Manhattan Lodging House, Medda's, Tibby's, and a few other places. None of which were very suitable to take Ace to.

She looked up and met his eyes with her gaze,"Ummm well....Poet always told meh if I eveh needed a place ta go her room is open if she's not around...."she replied softly. She bit her bottom lip in nervous habit and tilted her head,"Eveh been ta Queens?"she asked him with a small teasing wink and a nudge in the side. She grinned at him and turned starting to walk toward the direction of Queens and the lodging house, she was pretty sure Poet would be out and about making plans for the wedding that Irish probably didn't want to have.

Chase smiled his smile at her. "Can't say i have." He let her tow him down a road. He let her lead but refused to stay too far behind her. They came out into the middle of a square. Chase whistled. "Not what i expected." He said quietly. "But if this is whereh yer from, it's poifect." He winked at her.

Ace laughed abit,"I ain't from Queens, this is Poet's territory, she's jus' a close friend,"she said as she kept hold of his hand and headed toward the lodging house.When she reached the doorway she peeked in and wasn't too surprised to find Spade sitting at the desk as if he owned the place."Heya Ace, what brings ya hereh?"he asked.Ace grinned,"Poet ain't in is she?"she asked him. Spade looked over to see Chase and he grinned absently,"No, she's out and about, think she went ta go find Irish, her room's free if that's what yer askin',"he said smoothly. Ace winked at Spade,"ya can read meh like a book boy, yeah that's what I was gettin at, thanks Spade..."she said as she lead Chase up the stairs to Poet's room. She opened the door and stepped in looking over her shoulder at Chase as she lead him into the room and closed the door behind her,"so...we're alone,"she said softly.

Chase sighed and looked around. His eyes settled back on Ace. "Finally." He whispered. He walked over to her and kissed her. He leaned back and smiled at her. "Just tell meh if ya want meh ta stop." He kissed her again, a smile on his face. He led her over to the bed and pushed her down onto it. "Ace, i think i love you." He whispered.

Ace kissed him back as soon as his lips met hers. She bit her bottom lip absently between the kiss and when he lay her down she looked up at him. She tilted her head at his words and a smile spread across her face,"I....think I love you too Chase,"she whispered back. She lie a hand on the back of his neck and leaned up kissing his lips softly again.

Chase smiled at Ace. "Good. That's what i like ta hear." He kissed her again. He stood up and started unbuttoning his shirt. He took off his shirt and leaned into Ace as she kissed him again. He laid on the bed next to her. He leaned in next to her and whispered in her ear. "Are ya ready for this? I can stop." He didn't like to force anyone to do things they didn't want to.

She looked over at him and looked him over for a moment. She sighed softly and ran her hand over his bare chest as she bit her bottom lip abit harder and thought this over. "Chase....promise meh one thing....?"she whispered as she leaned toward him and kissed the side of his neck. She brought herself as close to him as possible and brought her lips to his ear,"Never leave me?"she whispered in his ear, her voice soft and sweet.
