Levi looked at her moodily. "Why don't you get him to tell you?" He said, pointing at Sean. Sean opened his mouth, but Levi leapt onto his back, choking his with his arm wrapped around Sean's throat. "Tell her and I will slit you neck from ear to ear."
"Little violent, aren't we today?" An amused voice said. Levi let go in shock and fell to the ground. Irish, Asher, and Street stood there, Street was waving.
"I'm Rosalind." She said, grinning.
"Why're ye here?" Sean asked pouting slightly. His cousin grinned.
"Ran into Asher here, who was comin' here to pick up his sister. Nice to see ye again, Brooke." Irish winked at her good-naturally. Asher shuffled his feet. "Then, we ran into Street here, who was comin' here anyways."
"Why?" Levi demanded sharply. Street held up a lunch pail, beaming with pride. "Is it poisioned?"
"I made it." She said, shocked that he would come to this conclusion.
Levi smiled uneasily and took it gently. "Oh... So it is poisioned." He said under his breath. Street didn't hear him, she was gushing over Brooke.

Brooke jumped slightly at the voice behind her. She turned around and beamed. She lept up and ran over to them. She hugged Street first then Irish and Asher. "Street! Irish! What are ya guys doin' here? Not that i care, i'm just happy ta see ya!" She hugged Asher. "Heya little bro. Has New York changed at all?" She put an arm around his shoulders and walked back over to the bench that Sean was still sitting at. She hadn't missed the pouty face he'd made when Irish showed up. She was still smiling. About that- but he'd never know it- and because her friends had come. Well, most of them anyway. She'd forgotten all about the comment Levi had made, but it didn't worry her. He was always saying stuff like that. She sat down by Sean again. "Don't look so happy." She teased him.

Asher clung to his sister, happy to see her. "Oh, Brooke! I can't wait until you meet Tyler, and Moira, and Niamh, and Medda... And Ophelia, and everyone else!" He cried happily. Sean grinned guiltily. Street kept trying to touch Levi's hair dreamily as he ate his sandwich. He swatted it away each time with practiced and weary annoyance. She was always trying to touch him, especially his hair. She had a thing with hair lately.
"Gob abway..." He told her, his mouth full. She just grinned.
"How was... where ye went?" Irish asked quietly and calmly-that was his manner. He kneeled down beside her on the ground. Asher stood and continued talking whether or not Brooke was listening. Sean kept glancing at him.

Brooke glanced up at Asher. Had he always been so talkative? She shrugged to herself and looked at Irish. "The south, the west. Whereever i could, really. It was nice and all but i missed ya guys." She smiled at Irish. She looked over at Street. And rollled her eyes at Levi. He should be happy someone liked him for him. Not his looks. But she couldn't honestly say that since Street was atempting to play with his hair. What was going on with that? Brooke shook her head slightly. She put one hand on Asher's and the other on Sean's. She was happy. She'd left to find part of her that was missing but now that she was back, she realized it was right here. Asher, Irish, Street, Levi, and now Sean. THey were her family.

Asher grinned. "Guess what, Brooke? I kissed Sean!" He sand happily, avoiding Sean as he sat up quickly.
"Funniest thing ever. I think Sean broke your nose that night," Levi said, joining in.
"Best fist fight in years." Street commented. "Where were ya, Irish? Didn't see ya durin' it. Nor Ophelia."
"Oi... Well. Oi left with Abby." Irish said.
"Didn't ya see Ophelia? I haven't seen her for a couple of days."
"Maybe Killer got her." Levi said, grinning. "I wish that would happen. She bothers me..."
Street smacked him in the back of the head. Sean looked up from where he had Asher in a head lock. "Boy, yer gettin' tall." He told Asher.
"Growth... spurt..." Asher gasped, grinning.

Brooke had gone still when her brother said that. She laughed and smiled uncertainly. "Heh heh i bet that went over real well." She looked over at Sean who had Asher in a headlock. She raised her eyebrows slightly. "Hmm i gotta meet this Abby goil. Anyone that can pull Irish from a fight has ta be good." She loosened up and smiled at Irish.
"Levi! How could ya say that? Wait, who's Killer? If he's anything like his name suggests, that's horrible. No one deserves that." Good for you Street she thought as Street looked offended and smacked his head. She smiled at Street, she liked her more and more each day.

Asher nodded. "His lips are sooo soft." He said, grinning from ear to ear as Sean slowly strangled him.
"Knock it off." Levi said, kicking Sean's legs out from beneath him. Street looked at him.
"Ya've gotten stronger..." She said, he nodded.
"Killer's this guy whose been attacking girls all over the city. Attacked Poet, Brooke..." Levi shrugged, "Not killed, just taught a lesson." He said, defending himself. Street just sighed and ran a finger through his hair, she slyly sat on his lap. "Get off..." He warned.

Brooke took a deep breath in. She remembered. The memories came flooding back. Levi was right, but he was wrong. Killer would have killed her. If not for the police. She'd heard her name in the distance, but she was to far into her memories, she could barely hear them. Brooke remembered how she'd thought he'd been nice. She asked him for help, and he tried to strangle her. She could smell his breath again, like she was back there with him. She shuddered again, forgeting everyone around her. She looked down at her hand. She still had the thin scar his knife had left. Her hand jumped down to her leg where he'd stabbed her, nearly killing her. She could feel the bump where her skin had grown over it. She came back to the present with a crash as someone wiped a tear that had rolled down her cheek. She hadn't know she was crying.

Asher kneeled in front of his sister, taking her hands. "Brooke... What's wrong?" he asked, glaring at Levi, he shrugged.
"Forgot who I was talking to." He said slowly. Street was chewing on her nails, looking nervous. Levi touched her hands, bringing them down, then he patted them.
"Sorry Brooke..." Street murmured.
Sean nodded behind Asher, he patted her shoulder. "I won't kiss Sean anymore. He might start to like it..." Asher whispered in her ear as he swiftly kissed her cheek.

Brooke took a startled breath. "What happened? I- what's goin' on guys?" She looked down at her hand again. She exhaled sharply through her nose. She looked at her friends worried faces. "It's okay. I'm fine. Honest. Street, don't worry so much." She got up and hugged Street tightly. She glanced at Levi. She gave him a small smile. "It's okay. It was the past, and i need to forget it. And i will." Eventually, she added in her mind.

Asher sighed with relief, and hugged her tightly. "I'm so glad to have you back! Brooke, I was left in the care of these two," he pointed accusingly at Levi and Sean. "They nearly corrupted my innocence!" Street laughed, Sean looked outraged, while Levi nodded, he had done his best.

Brooke laughed with Street. "I'm so sorry, Asher. I didn't realize you'd be stuck with them." She said teasingly, pointing at Sean and Levi. She winked at Sean. "I was just comin' back for a visit, until i met Sean here. I might hafta stay and keep you outta his hair." She told him, ruffling her younger brother's hair. She kissed his cheek and looked around. She smiled at all of them. "Man, i missed ya guys!" SHe wouldn't get tired of saying that until she'd been there for a few months. She really had missed them and wanted to stay in New York for the rest of her life. The South had been too lonely for her, too quiet.

Street hugged her blindly. "Brooke, I'm so glad ta have ya back!" She cried, tightening her grip. Asher laughed.
"I didn't mind being with them so much. Especially since Sean's so cute..." Asher teased, Sean shoved Levi in between them.
"What about me?" Levi asked indignantly.
"You're cute too." He blinked at Asher.
"You sounded just like Street..." He started.
"That's 'cause it was me, stupid." Street said, flipping her hair over her shoulder angrily. Levi was shocked. Street never said stupid.

Brooke smiled at Sean. She agreed with her brother. Sean was cute. Very cute. She would never say that out loud though. He had caught her staring at him and she blushed and looked down. She gave Street a shocked look. Things had changed since she'd left. Street sounded like a.. girl. How odd. Street never said things like you are cute or stupid. Brooke shook her head slowly.

Street was flushed too, as was Levi, though his darker skin hid it better then her pale one. "Uh... right." He said, agreeing with whatever she said. Asher suddenly brightened.
"Oh, look who it is." Sean said, rolling his eyes. "Chase Neumann." Asher glared at him with his eyes, but grinned anyway.
"Chase! Chase, over here!" Asher called, waving his arm wildly. Levi dodged his elbow.
"Watch it!"
